I will still argue they should've never portrayed Obi-Wan as a broken man the way they did. He should've been more like the Alec Guiness Obi-Wan than we've ever seen. That twinkle and wit he always had should've been on full display. I will say Owen was portrayed quite well in the series.

That's what I've been saying: Alec Guinness always had a twinkle in his eyes. Ewan, I found had a more piercing, serious gaze in the PT. As Ewan has aged, the twinkle is slowly starting to show.
I think he was an excellent choice to play the younger Obi wan. I’ve always enjoyed his films. Ironically, my kitten was born last year on May the 4th. I named him Obi. I would have named him that regardless of the date, just a funny coincidence.
